On January 13, Prime Minister Narendra Modi will officially launch the “Ganga Vilas,” the longest luxury river cruise in the world, from Varanasi, Uttar Pradesh, to Dibrugarh, Assam. In 50 days, the cruise will travel 3,200 kilometers. The trip will travel through 27 different river systems, including world heritage sites, as it passes through the rivers of Bangladesh and India. The Inland Waterways Authority of India will work with private operators Antara Luxury River Cruises and JM Baxi River Cruises to operate the river trip (IWAI). Ganga Vilas, a luxurious river cruise ship, has 18 cabins or suites and all necessary amenities. With a focus on the future, Ganga Vilas was constructed with a distinctive design. It combines simple designs with modern conveniences and cultural elements. Numerous conveniences have been added to these, including a bathroom with a shower.
